Welcome to Jackson Automotive!

Our journey began in 1955 in Macon, GA when Jackson Automotive was founded as an Oldsmobile dealership by J. Leland Jackson. Over
the decades, we've grown and evolved, always guided by family ownership and our commitment to providing exceptional service. Today,
under our third generation of leadership, we continue to uphold our tradition of customer satisfaction and community involvement.







 

1960s

 


Oldsmobile facility moved out of downtown Macon to
Riverside Drive at Wimbush Rd.














1970s











 

2000s

New Mercedes Benz and Volvo facility built in North
Macon at its current location on Riverside Drive. Subaru
of Macon franchise added to lineup in 2008.














 

2020s

Under the third generation of ownership, Jackson
Automotive expanded into Florida with its acquisition of
Cocoa Kia and rebranded as Jackson Kia in 2022.  In
Georgia, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles sales and
service added. Adding these incredible brands has
allowed us to serve a diverse range of automotive needs
in multiple markets, all while maintaining our core value of
providing excellent service after the sale.













1955

 
J. Leland Jackson founded Jackson Oldsmobile in
downtown Macon.


Our expansion over the years has been marked by key
milestones. We proudly added Mercedes-Benz to our lineup in
1976, followed by Volvo in 1992, and Volkswagen in 2015. As
of 2024, we have an even larger collection of brands under
our rooftops, including Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen,
Subaru and Kia. Adding these incredible brands have allowed
us to serve a diverse range of automotive needs, all while
maintaining our core value of providing excellent service after the sale. 



 


 


Mercedes-Benz franchise added in 1976 and leadership
transitioned to the second generation under James L.
Jackson Jr.

1980s & 1990s

Jackson Oldsmobile rebranded as Jackson Automotive
Group Inc.  Volvo Cars and Pontiac franchises added.
Hyundai and Mazda franchises bought and sold.



 

2010s

Subaru dedicated facility built next to Mercedes Benz and
Volvo of Macon in 2014.  Volkswagen franchise purchased
in 2015.  New Volkswagen facility built and opened in
2018 in North Macon on Riverside Drive.
